Its racing compounds provide excellent grip and a unique experience for drivers. The front tire acceleration system optimizes the steering force required for leaning and provides precise response when cornering.
The rear tire has been designed to optimize the pressure exerted in the contact area. The Adaptive Casing Technology+ (MICHELIN ACT+) technology that we patent allows us to fulfill Michelin's promise of total performance and guarantee better stability on straights and curves.
Adhesion, maneuverability and response to lean angle changes, braking and sudden acceleration are the calling cards of tires for sports motorcycles. MICHELIN ranked first in all these areas in the Motorrad Test Center test*.
In an independent test, the Dekra test center concluded that the MICHELIN Power RS tire set lasts at least 33% longer than leading competitive products*.
Based on the results of tests carried out by the Dekra Test Center between January 31 and February 22, 2017, on a BMW K1300 R motorcycle equipped with Metzeler M7RR, Pirelli Diablo Rosso III and Bridgestone S21 tires, in comparison with MICHELIN Power RS (front: 120 70ZR17 / rear: 190 55 ZR17).
Greater adhesion on wet surfaces
The MICHELIN Power RS tire provides greater grip on wet roads than the previous MICHELIN Pilot Power 3** version.
In internal tests carried out in December 2015 and July 2016 in Fontanges on a BMW S1000RR, the difference between the two types of tires was three seconds per lap in cold weather and one second per lap at a temperature of 28 °C .
